BNI Business Attractors Meeting 2-3-2010

Our weekly Wednesday 8AM BNI Business Attractors meeting is held at Antonio's Pizza and Pasta Restaurant in Leland, NC. We had a several guests yesterday (and you're welcome to come visit, too, just call me, Bruce Brown, at (910) 297-8753 to let me know you're coming.

Chapter member Dr. Matt Bradshaw of the Leland Health Center gave a great presentation on stretches anyone can use (but especially people who spend a lot of time driving, sitting, or working on computers) to stretch their lower and middle back and legs. In the two photos below he demonstrates simple stretches with chapter member Eddie Hughes of ATMC.

BNI Business Attractors Meeting - 11-18-09

We had another lively meeting of the Leland BNI Business Attractors. We started by playing Frisbee and ended with a drawing. Oh yeah, and had some good networking, an interesting presentation by Aflac's Mimi Kronkowski, and guest Scott Schmidt. A bunch of strong referrals were given as well. Good meeting, folks.

BNI Business Attractors Meeting 6-17-09

We had a great meeting at our Business Attractors BNI group this week. During our 60-second commercials we handed out small tokens that represented an emotional message our business provides (in the photo below Nationwide's Erin Alderman hands out Bling to represent the joy of protecting your personal assets).


Our 10 minute speaker was financial planner Ken Schiess of HDVest who gave a snappy presentation on the way he works with clients.

BNI Business Attractors Meeting June 10, 2009

We had a great meeting of the BNI Business Attractors yesterday. Bernadette Hayes of N2 Publishing did a super job during her 10-minute presentation and I captured the whole thing on video with my Flip camera. Unfortunately, while transferring the file from the camera to my PC both devices hung and the end result is no video file.

But trust me, it was informative, fun, and revealed all kinds of secret stuff that you'll just have to come to one of our BNI meetings to find out about.

BNI Business Attractors Meeting June 3, 2009

This week was our first official regular meeting of the Business Attractors BNI chapter in our new meeting space at Antonio's Pizza and Pasta Restaurant. Below is the view from the back of the room.

And this is the view from the front.

During today's meeting our group's mortgage broker and lendor Brad Hodges filled us in on the newest developments in the mortgage and lending industry. Lots of changes are going on, building the foundation for solid growth and economic health.

Chapter members Bernadette Hayes, Monica Clark, and Jennifer Altman listened carefully to Brad's precise presentation.

We won't have another official Visitor's Day until August, but guest are welcome to any meeting, weekly on Wednesdays at 8AM at Antonios Pizza and Pasta Restaurant.

Leland, NC BNI Business Attractors Visitors Day May 20th, 2009

We had a great turnout at the BNI Visitors' Day at the Business Attractors chapter in Leland, NC on May 20th. This meeting was our first meeting in Leland's brand new meeting space on the first floor adjacent to and run by Antonio's Pizza and Pasta Restaurant.

We had approximately 20 visitors at the meeting which was great, some familiar faces and some brand new.

BNI Area Director Scott Cromartie ran the meeting. Scott's the gentleman in the middle of the photo below with Guest Greg Darrow and chapter member Ken Schiess.

Here's another shot of Greg Darrow - Greg's a photographer and actor so I love to catch him on camera when I have the chance. Maybe someday I can sell the rights to my images of him to his fan magazines.

As you can see, we had a great showing. People came early and stayed late, getting to know each other as well as exploring ways to help each other in their businesses, which is what BNI is all about.
